The adventure starts with Cub Scouting, a year-round family program designed for boys in the kindergarten through 5th grades. We hold weekly den meetings (bi-weekly for Lions), from September through May and bi-weekly trips/activities through the summer months. The program emphasizes shared leadership, learning about the community, family understanding, character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness.
Boys begin as Lion Cubs in Kindergarten, then the progress through Cub Scouts as Tigers in the first grade, Wolves in the second grade, Bears in the third grade, WEBLOS in fourth grade and Arrow of Light (AOL) in the fifth grade.
Young boys grow up fast. Give your son a valuable gift by encouraging him to join Cub Scouting today. The time you invest in him today will make a difference in the person he becomes tomorrow.
The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating in citizenship, and develops interpersonal and team work skills.
September through May
We meet at the St. Bartholomew's Parish Center in the Parish hall basement.
